W H Promation partnership discussions take Adaptive forward into high end biomanufacturing systems
John Bonham-Carter (pictured), the new managing director of Adaptive Biosystems revealed his company had agreed a partnership with bioengineering group, WH Promation.
Details of the deal emerged as Adaptive’s largest project to date entered final commissioning - a project that involved one of the most highly instrumented and controlled bioreactors ever produced for a UK biomanufacturing company.
Mr Bonham-Carter explained that Adaptive had won the project due in part to the complexity and flexibility they could offer on the control system. Although Adaptive ran the project, he "recognised the need for resources to capitalise on the success of the project."
"To increase our manufacturing capacity and sales while keeping the quality high, we must join forces with other complementary companies."
W H Promation is well known in the industry and it has significant experience in bioprocessing, project management and GMP custom installations. The partnership covers all stainless steel manufacture, both in R&D and GMP production applications, and will allow larger, turn-key projects to be undertaken.
Nigel Hall, a director of WHP commented: "WHP’s depth and strength in GMP manufacture and bioprocess experience mean that Adaptive can focus on the market, to the great benefit of both companies."
