

Denmark’s Novo Nordisk has filed a request with the US FDA for authorization of its long-acting insulin analogue, NN304.
Novo Nordisk, which hopes to obtain authorization for diabetes Type 1 and 2, also submitted a request to the EMEA on 5 November 2002.
The company will develop its clinical research activities in the US. NovoNordisk recently appointed a director of clinical research and a director at its US biopharmaceutical unit, Brett Scholnick and Peter Kruse. The latter will have the responsibility to set up clinical research activities for new indications in its recombinant factor VIIa, NovoSeven®.
