Lloyds Register Americas acquires Serentec

New operation ’to be leading provider of risk management services’

Serentec, Inc. based in Raleigh North Carolina, USA, industry leader in providing regulatory compliance and validation services to the Life Science sectors regulated by the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA).has been acquired by Lloyd’s Register Americas, Inc.

Lloyd’s Register Serentec will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lloyd’s Register Americas, part of the Lloyd’s Register Group.

Paul Huber, President of Lloyd’s Register Americas is named as Chief Executive Officer of Lloyd’s Register Serentec, while John Davis, President of Serentec, becomes President of the new company.

Davis spoke of Serentec’s "vision for growth in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries" and saw that combining the strengths of Lloyd’s Register Group with those of Serentec would allow his organisation "to compete in the global marketplace."

Lloyd’s Register Group works to improve its clients’ quality, safety, environmental and business performance.

David Moorhouse, Lloyd’s Register’s Chairman and Chief Executive, comments: "The acquisition of Serentec is another step in our vision of being the world’s leading provider of risk management services."
