PerkinElmer recognized for ’superior technology and leadership in manufacturing, service and support’ in optoelectronics with two prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2003 and the 2002 Golden Flag Award.
PerkinElmer is one of only three companies in the United Kingdom to be honored with two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2003, the most prestigious corporate accolade that can be bestowed on a business in the United Kingdom.
The Queen’s Award for Innovation 2003 recognizes PerkinElmer’s achievements with its range of FD440/CHROMOS11 products, which ensure optimal performance of telecommunications networks by assessing data transmission.
Earlier in 2003, PerkinElmer Optoelectronics received the 2002 Golden Flag Award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Megawati Sukarnoputri. The award recognizes PerkinElmer’s Batam operations for achieving the highest score for SMK3 certification, a process that measures the implementation of the mandatory Occupational Health and Safety Management System within a company. SMK3 is designed to ensure continuous improvement towards a safe working environment and better health of employees.
