The company has brought forward an increase in large-scale cGMP capacity at Diosynth’s new production facilities located in Oss, The Netherlands.

Customers looking for large-scale cGMP production of therapeutic proteins for late phase clinical and commercial use could anticipate technology transfer activities to start during 2002, allowing necessary scale-up and validation activities to commence during 2003.
Diosynth’s state-of-the-art downstream processing facility featuring more than 20 clean rooms opened in Oss, the Netherlands in 2000 and inspected by the FDA. Diosynth is constructing an adjacent upstream processing facility. It features cGMP cell culture capacity to 18,000-L working volume and cGMP microbial fermentation production trains of 5,000-L and 10,000-L working volume. The new facility will be fully validated and available for cGMP production in late 2003.
