Analytical Laboratory and Standards group launches USP-NF training

Specialist training in use of USP-NF available in two seminars during February 2003

In the first European seminar series for conference organiser LGC Promochem, the USP Standards 100 course for professionals in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory authorities and allied industries will be coming to Europe in February 2003.

The official standards set by USP-NF (United States Pharmacopoeia and National Formulary) have been the pharmaceutical industry’s indispensable guide to quality since 1820.

USP has a successful track record in training pharmaceutical scientists from industry and government authorities all over the world. The seminar provides an overview of the USP-NF and standards setting processes.

LGC Promochem organises seminars for pharmaceutical industry professionals in the use of USP-NF ) standards and is the official distributor for USP products in Europe.

Delegates will learn the most efficient and effective way to use USP-NF and to apply its standards.

Scientific experts directly involved in establishing USP-NF standards will be on hand to provide interactive training. The seminar covers the development and use of the USP monographs, general chapters and reference standards, and a guide to the Pharmacopoeial Forum, which will be illustrated with case studies.

The first seminar will be held in Runcorn, UK, on 18 February 2003 and repeated in Luckenwalde, Germany, on 20 February. Delegates who register before 31 December 2002 or register with a colleague will get a 10% discount.

The course will be particularly useful to research and development scientists, quality and compliance managers and marketing professionals, providing practical skills and in-depth perspectives in the application of standards and test methods.

As well as the interactive sessions, delegates will be provided with comprehensive course materials for future reference, and there will be ample opportunity for networking with industry colleagues.
