New Technology Centre cuts time to market with an improved outcome for Pharmaceutical Companies.
The new NPS Technology Centre provides a new one-stop GMP environment in which pharmaceutical companies can evaluate various production technologies and develop new solid dose products at clinical trial and pilot scale, ahead of full-scale production.
The Centre at Niro Pharma Systems based in Bubendorf, Switzerland opened officially in February 2003. It provides all necessary equipment and know-how for pharmaceutical companies to develop and test solid dosage form products.
The latest technology allows pharmaceutical companies to reduce time to market for new products, by using integrated equipment to test clinical scale production and the validation of processes. Pharmaceutical customers will also achieve security of outcome through an imporved understanding of processes and the easier selection of the most appropriate technology for full-scale production.
The Centre is equipped with the full range of Niro Pharma Systems equipment from powder mixing, through to granulation and drying, tablet pressing and coating.
Mr Hanspeter Kuelling, director of the Centre, says the NPS Cenre is designed to offer pharmaceutical companies the opportunity to validate existing processes, develop new procedures or run pilot scale productions. Niro Pharma Systems specialists can also offer their process know-how to optimise phases of production, improve procedures, or offer training to the staff of pharmaceutical companies.
The Centre provides a modern GMP environment to meet the requirements of the Swiss authorities. Facilities include: contained material handling, dispensing, blending, granulation, drying, pelletising, tabletting and coating technology. Production capacity is offered for batches of 100g to 100kg.
